“Behind every woman succeeding in life and achieving great heights, a great father is gleaming with pride”

Of all the relationships a girl might have in her life, the one with her father is the most important, as this relationship has the power to determine a girl's personality, her future relationships and her success.

Bollywood superstar Priyanka Chopra, always emphasizes on the relationship she had with her dad saying that it was what which made her overcome all kinds of struggle, as her dad was always considerate of her needs, her feelings and emotions. She even mentioned,

"I miss most about him just how unabashedly proud of me he would be in the littlest things. Even if I am having dinner and my plate is clean, my dad would be excited. If I wore a dress that I liked, my dad would be excited. From the littlest thing to the biggest thing, he would be the loudest in the room. I miss the noise, the excitement he had, the joy and investment he had in my life and just how excited he used to be about everything about me"

This message shows how Dr. Ashok Chopra, her dad, was her biggest fan, best friend, and confidant. She says she is who she is today, because of her father.

Every girl child deserves a relationship like this with her father, to lift her up, to trust her and to see her fly. It is a science that the father-daughter relationship makes or breaks a child's personality. The bond they share is always special and is treasured so much.

This special father-Daughter bond is very important as studies have found it to affect the girl in many ways,

Girls with a strong bond and a hands-on dad, while they are growing up, have better health and are less likely to be fickle-minded.

It also helps the daughters, with improved self-esteem, self-worth, and lowered levels of anxiety.

An abusive relationship with the father can change the way a girl looks at relationships in the future, which also affects her mental health. These cases also lead to eating disorders, stress, anxiety etc. This also pertains to the increased number of female suicides in the country.

A child's emotional intelligence will be balanced, and she will be able to take the entire world in her stride with a strong father figure in life. Nevertheless, a strong voice and ample amounts of confidence in her actions are the greatest gifts you can give your daughter and in turn, she can become the biggest asset to the society.

Daughters who are given the right kind of love, acceptance and support are sure to rule any environment they are in. When you give a girl the ability and authority to choose what is good for her, this shows the amount of trust you have in her and this one act of love from a father is all a child needs. Giving your daughter your time and involvement, is actually giving her a soulful future.

Dear fathers ,always remember that this child is a life you brought to the earth; handle her with love and nurture her immensely as she is the future.

"You can be anything and anyone great by being your daughter's hand to hold, shoulder to cry and hero to look up to."
